A nightgown made for wandering at dusk or catching the first rays at dawn - the Phaedra nightgown creates a floating, dreamy presence.

Inspired by Regency era nightgowns with wide-set gathered straps and gathered empire waist bodice, this timeless silhouette is reminiscent of romantic heirloom lingerie. The bodice is lightly lined and the waist is elasticized for extra comfort. And of course, the skirt has pockets to carry your small belongings.

This nightgown uses a romantic, vintage-inspired print called "Ophelia's Reverie" featuring Ophelia dreaming in a moonlit pond next to her rowboat and a variety of fragrant flowers. Drawn in a technique inspired by vintage illustrations in antique hardcovers, this print wears very black. Also available in Solid Ivory and in "Romancing the Moon" Sage and Midnight Forest.

Fabric Content

100% Lyocell Voile

Lyocell is an eco-friendly fabric made out of sustainably harvested trees and is the generic name for Tencel. The solvents that are used to break down the wood pulp is recycled repeatedly into the manufacturing process, significantly reducing wastage and pollution than one would find in the making of similar fabrics such as viscose or rayon.

The fabric is digitally printed using fewer pigments and water than used in dyeing, also resulting in less wastage and pollution.

Crafted from a Lyocell voile, this fabric is chosen for its ethereal lightness and breathability—an homage to antique heirloom nightgowns designed for comfort in sleep.

Over time and with washing, the fibers soften beautifully, enhancing the fabric’s fluid drape and delicate hand.

Garment Care

Machine wash (in cold water) and dry on delicate cycles or hang to dry.

Sizing

This style is available in sizes xsmall to 2X. Below are the body measurements that the style was designed to fit as well as the garment's measurements when laid flat. As we are just starting out, we have a smaller size range which we aim to expand with future recuts and collections.

It is recommended that the bust circumference in the body measurement chart below be followed to determine sizing.

FAVORITE NIGHTGOWN

I own the Phaedra gown in both Pondwater and Ivory, XL - and really adore both. I’m so happy that future versions of the plus sizes will include more room in the bust, because the only improvement I would suggest is about an inch of extra space (vertically) in the bust area for a more flattering fit. And the newer plus sized versions are going to have it! I’m so excited for this improvement, and plan to purchase in 1 or 2 more colors for summer.
You’ll feel beautiful, ethereal, fancy… like you’re living your best fairytale life in this gown. Don’t miss your chance to snatch one up in your size if you see it, because the stock goes quickly!!

The updated Phaedra fit is PERFECTION!

While I really liked the original, I absolutely love the updated fit of the Phaedra. The extra coverage in the new cut makes the piece feel more wearable and comfortable, while maintaining the romantic lines we've come to love. I've started with the classic white, and will add all versions as they become available.

Between the Phaedra, the Georgiana, and the robes, now we just wait for the new prints to make their debut! May they be as intensely gorgeous and classical in design as we've been spoiled and tempted with so far!

I just received my beautiful nightgown - the fabric is lovely, and it's both demure and sexy. I ordered the medium which fits my hips very comfortably... I wouldn't mind the top being a teeny bit more snug. I have taken in the straps a tad. I really appreciate the care you took with the packaging as well, even the wax you used as a seal smells delicious :) Thank you Jane!

The reworked bodice is perfection!!!

I bought the Phaedra in Midnight Forest originally (after obsessing over it for months lol) and it’s absolutely gorgeous, but the bodice was a bit too short for my bust-the elastic hit the bottom third of my breasts rather than sitting underneath and if I pulled it down, there would definitely be nip slip. It didn’t bother me enough to return but it made me hesitate to buy more items.

But shortly after, I received an email stating that the bodice had been reworked to better fit larger busts on the ivory Phaedra so I immediately purchased in the hopes that it would work better for me. And it fits perfectly! It’s even more comfortable and flattering. It definitely is a little sheer, but not so sheer that you’re seeing every little imperfection…it’s actually super sexy in a romantic way. I’m really hoping that all of the items will get this same update because my dream is to have a collection of all the Phaedra and Georgiana nightgowns with matching robes. I know it’s an investment but sleepwear/loungewear is an area that I think deserves a bit of a splurge. And honestly, I’m so impressed with a company that listens to feedback and improves their products, so I can’t wait to support them as much as possible.
